On September 24th, 8pm, I’ll be doing a live soundtrack to the psychedelic 70s animated film, Fantastic Planet. I will be playing a non-musical set composed of live Foley sound and generative software and hardware synth environments.
Man in Motion, a performance by the Amusia Collective: Billie Howard, Fyodor Sakhnovski, & Daniel Tovar
“Man in Motion” is a non-musical sound performance set to clips of American NFL football. Inspired by Paul Pfeiffer’s Three Figures in a Room, it explores the power of sound to isolate, amplify, and mutate what we see. It highlights the athleticism, struggle, and violence in the popular American sport.

On December 2nd from 1-3pm in the Douglas Park Field House, I will be leading a workshop making field recording compositions based on scores using simple line drawings. Based on research for a class that I have been teaching at the Art institute of Chicago, the workshop encourages participants to explore the relationship between our auditory, visual, and tactile sense experiences.
The event is free and open to all ages. To ensure that we have enough materials for all participants, please register for the event.
